I Love You

Filed under: love, poetry — by peiwriter @ 4:25 pm

I Love You for all the women I have not known

I love you for all the times I have not lived

For the smell of the vast sea and of warm bread

For the melting snow for the first flowers

For the pure beasts unafraid of man

I Love you for Loving

I love you for all the woman I do not love

Who reflects me except you I see myself so seldom

Without you I see nothing but a dessert waste

Between the present and the past

All these deaths I traversed on straw

I have not pierced my mirrors wall

I had to learn life word for word

As you forget

I love you for your wisdom that is not mine

For Health

I love you against all illusion

For this immortal heart I do not hold

You think you are doubt and you are but reason

You are the great sun arousing me

When I am sure of myself

Paul Eluard

Touched By an Angel

Touched by an Angel

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.
Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.
We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

Written by Maya Angelou

This has an extremely deep insight into the world of spirit…only the amount of love we give, unconditionally, can raise us from this slumber that most are completely unaware of. Practicing God [ pure love], giving god, is the trigger to recieving god and is the only way to overcome the fear that guides us. For now, we sleep, until the dawning of awareness that the source and the key have always been inside. The kingdom of Heaven is inside you, and all around you, but we see it not. If someone tells you the Kingdom of Heaven is in the sky…I say the birds will receive Heaven before you..if someone tells you the kingdom of Heaven is in the Ocean..I say the fishes will receive the Kingdom of Heaven before you…but when you come to understand that the Kingdom of Heaven is inside you and all around you…you have entered wisdom. [gospel of Thomas...sort of]

WHEN DO I THINK OF YOU?

Filed under: love, poetry — by peiwriter @ 6:50 pm

I think of you in the peace
solitude and stillness of the early a.m., for
you are tranquility.

I think of you on an ocean’s front,
for you are the roar of the waves,
the power of the sea, and the salt in the air.

I think of you amidst a crowd
and the chorus of city sounds
…for that is my song, and you are the music.

You are my first thought of each new day,
and the last image I glimpse, as my eyes are
closed upon a feathered pillow.

In that secret place called sleep, it is you that
I search for, through shades of darkness and
clouds of cotton.

When do I think of you? Every moment
of my life. And, when the final sleep does come
and if there is thought…
it will be of you.

You Walked Lightly

Filed under: Life, love, poetry — by peiwriter @ 6:49 pm

You walked lightly into my life

Captivating and lovely to my mind,

At first, I never cared who you were

Now I dont know who I am without you,

You kissed me…I felt my world change,

You held me…I heard my heart awaken,

You loved me…And my soul was born anew

You walked lightly Into my life

Now my heart knows who you are

And with every breath, and every step

I take down lonely roads,

Your hand is my staff

Your voice is my guide,

Your strength my shelter

Your passion my awakening

You walked lightly into my life,

And all my pain, You took as your own,

All my fears,You cast into the sea,

All my doubt, Lost in your eyes,

You walked lightly into my life

And no matter if you choose to stay or go,

My life is forever changed

Just because you loved me

For a moment In time.

And because I choose To love you

For the rest of mine.

I Wish My Mother

Filed under: Life, poetry, women — by peiwriter @ 6:45 pm

I wish my Mother would have warned me about the possible pains of being her daughter. She might have drawn me aside as a child and said “Honey, my child, watch out for being afraid to try new things, just look both ways and give crossing a try.”

I wish my mother could have stood tall in all her imperfection and said: “Honey, my sweet child, don’t forget sometimes it’s best not to take yourself or anyone else too seriously, always take your daily dose of joyful abandon.

I wish my mother could have, when I was about 12, taken me on a walk on the ocean shore and reminded me to honor my body, the matter of my spirit, the whole expanding, curving, juicy explosion. The magnificent process of woman making.
I wish my Mother could have been honest about her pain, not defended, nor denied, but said:”Girl, child of mine, here are some of the trouble spots, the edges I have to smooth, the wounds still to be healed. Now your life is your own, but here are the possible pains of being a daughter of mine. Don’t tie yourself too tightly to these pains, these are histories moving through you, not places to stand for the ride.”

About Life

Filed under: Life, poetry — by peiwriter @ 2:14 am
It’s about Politics, sad conflicts
living in a world you just can’t fix
Holding on or letting go

finding peace in your soul

It’s about being low, getting high
In betweens and don’t know why’s
Finding faith or losing ground
How to live in the now
It’s about cashing in or checking out
Knowing when to shut your mouth
Children playing, people praying
Saving earth from decaying
It’s about being nice, being kind
Knowing when to say whats on your mind
Getting rich or going broke
Trying to breath when you want to choke
It’s about Moonlit nights, sunny days
The sometimes gray along the way
Talking trash or speaking truth
Staying connected to your roots
It’s about you and me, them and us
Knowing who to blame or who to trust
World Emancipation, communication
Atheism and New religions
It’s about being free, knowing love

Having Faith in a God above

Staying warm or being cold
And having someone to grow old with….
