I loved my grandmother, she passed on some great pearls of wisdom, and now that I am, I guess it’s my turn to pass on some things I have learned along the way, and perhaps give my children a lasting impression of who I am, not just as their Mother, but as a friend, lover, Daughter, Sister, Human and Woman.
Take care of yourselves, learn to love those things about yourself that make you unique as a human being. Your first commitment should be to your own physical, mental, and emotional welfare.
Always, no matter how difficult it may seem, follow your passion, Take those gifts you were born with, and create something beautiful, never try to live up too the expectations of other’s…You’ll always fall short within yourself, Just strive to be You, the magnificent souls I know you already are.
Forge your friendships carefully. Be the friend you would want to have. Friends lighten up the dark places we go sometimes, they stand beside you even when you think your all alone. Their love can be as unconditional as a Parent for their child.
Don’t forget to stand up for injustice, your voice is important for change. Be strong and brave when faced with injustices of your own, speak the truth, and in doing so, you change the world!
Never be afraid to show your Love, and to express it on a regular basis. Everyone, including you, needs to know they are loved but seldom get to hear it. Love is as important as the air you breath, for without it we would surely suffocate.
Never be afraid to cry. Crying helps you wash away old pain, it cleans your mind to help bring understanding to your grief.
Be good to each other, take care of the earth…and enjoy your right as a human to live on a Healthy Planet. Set an example, pick up other people’s litter…it’s like a smile, contagious when witnessed enough.
